National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (Feb 7) is a day to address the impact of HIV on Black communities. The NBHAAD Symposium will address the impact of HIV on Black communities through presentations on data, structural barriers to HIV testing, prevention and treatment, and stigma. A Call to Action by Regina Jefferson, Interfaith Community Engagement Coordinator, POWAB DOH/HAHSTA Government Co-Chair, DC Health to the community to embrace past pain and create purpose of empowering others to see their true divine selves. Other presenters include Anthony Gutierrez from Gilead Pharmaceuticals, Deidre Speaks from The Sero Project and Skyler Mackey from Alexandria Health Department.
